DPM Sun Chanthol Hosts a Business Delegation from California


Phnom Penh: H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), led a business discussion and matching meeting with a business delegation from California, USA. The meeting was attended by CDC high-ranking officials and a delegation from the Cambodian Oknha Association.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Sun Chanthol briefed the U.S. business delegation on the Kingdom’s ongoing economic development, underscoring the Royal Government’s policies focusing on economic diversification, aiming to achieve the Cambodia Vision 2050 as a high-income economy. He also highlighted Cambodia’s attractiveness as a potential investment destination due to its strategic location, political stability, renewable energy sources, young workforce, and government support for the private sector, including preferential investment law and interconnected transport and logistics infrastructure.



The Californian business delegation expressed their appreciation and interest in Cambodia’s progress. They also appreciated the Royal Government’s support for the private sector and expressed their willingness to explore the possibility of strengthening bilateral cooperation between California and Cambodia, especially in economic and investment relations.
