DPM Sun Chanthol Highlights Cambodia’s Investment Potential to Chinese Investors


Henan: H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), highlighted Cambodia’s political stability, balanced macroeconomic situation, and dynamic young workforce, as well as intermodal infrastructure and investor-friendly frameworks, during a conference held in Henan province, China yesterday.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in a keynote address to the conference attended by 60 Henan-based enterprises, H.E. Sun Chanthol emphasised Royal Government’s initiatives to attract investment and diversify the economy, and implement the Investment Project Management System (cdcIPM) – a digital platform designed to streamline investment applications.



H.E. Deputy Prime Minister expressed strong optimism that Chinese investors and businessmen attending the conference would come to Cambodia to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s investment environment and explore the latest opportunities.



In the first two months of 2025, Cambodia received 112 investment projects with a total capital of approximately US$1 billion, which is expected create more than 70,000 jobs.



H.E. Sun Chanthol is leading a CDC delegation, along with representatives from the Tourism Marketing and Promotion Board, and the Cambodian Oknha Association, on a visit to China with the mission of promoting the country’s investment opportunities and attract more investors.
