Cuban Leaders Extend Congratulations to Cambodia on 71st Independence Day.


Phnom Penh: Top leaders of the Republic of Cuba extended their heartfelt congratulations to their Cambodian counterparts on November 9, marking the auspicious occasion of Cambodia’s 71st National Independence Day.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of Cuba, conveyed his message to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia. President Díaz-Canel highlighted the traditional ties of friendship and solidarity that have been forged between the two nations, expressing confidence in reaching new milestones for the progress and well-being of their people.

In a separate message, Cuban Prime Minister H.E. Manuel Marrero Cruz extended his congratulations to Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Prime Minister Marrero Cruz reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening high-level political dialogue and cooperation between the two countries, especially as they approach the 65th anniversary of the
establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Additionally, H.E. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, expressed the desire to continue enhancing cooperation between both countries. The upcoming 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025 serves as an incentive for further collaboration.

Cambodia celebrates its 71st anniversary of national independence from France, commemorating the significant milestone achieved on November 9, 1953.
