Cuba to Boost Health Collaboration with Cambodia


Cuba has pledged to further expand its health collaboration with Cambodia, especially by supporting the Cambodian Ministry of Health’s priorities.

The pledge was made by H.E. Mrs. Liurka Rodriguez Barrios, Ambassador of Cuba to Cambodia, in a meeting here in Phnom Penh on Jan. 10 with H.E. Chheang Ra, Minister of Health.

H.E. Chheang Ra applauded Cuba for its contribution to Cambodia’s development, particularly in the field of health through healthcare system building.

The minister welcomed the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of health human resources development, improvement of health service quality, and health-related investments.

He also thanked the Government and people of Cuba, as well as the Cuban Ambassador, for the commitment to support the Cambodian health ministry.
