Sihanoukville: A tourist ship named “NOORDAM,” carrying a total of 1,865 tourists of 43 different nationalities, 987 of whom are women, is paying a day-long visit to Sihanoukville of Preah Sihanouk province. The 285.43-metre-long, 32.25-metre-wide, and 8-metre-deep cruise ship sailing under the flag of the Netherlands docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port early this morning.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, an immigration police officer reported that most of the tourists are American (677), Australian (354), and Canadian (207). They have been exploring cultural resorts, beaches, and other tourist attractions in the Preah Sihanouk coastal province. Coming from Vietnam, the cruise ship with 776 crewmembers of 35 different nationalities, 136 of whom are women, is scheduled to depart for Thailand this afternoon.
