Beijing: H.E. Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has praised the significant contributions made by Cambodian Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to the development and enhancement of Cambodia-China relations. During a bilateral meeting in Beijing, H.E. Wang acknowledged the efforts of Cambodia’s younger generation of leaders who have followed Hun Sen’s path, and reiterated China’s ongoing support for Cambodia’s policies.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussion included H.E. Wang’s commitment to promoting traditional ties between the two nations and encouraging an increase in Chinese tourism to Cambodia. He emphasized the potential synergy between China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy, highlighting key infrastructure projects such as the Industrial and Technological Corridor, the Fish and Rice Corridor, and the advancement of modern agriculture.

ch Techo Hun Sen congratulated the CPPCC on its 75th anniversary and lauded China’s achievements. He expressed hopes for strengthened and expanded cooperation between the CPPCC and the Cambodian Senate. Hun Sen also conveyed gratitude for China’s support in Cambodia’s socio-economic development and political independence, reaffirming Cambodia’s commitment to the One China policy and the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The meeting also covered discussions on the complex and rapidly changing regional and international issues. Additionally, H.E. Wang accepted an invitation from Hun Sen to visit Cambodia at an appropriate time to witness the country’s progress since his last visit in 2016.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s visit to Beijing, which began this afternoon, is part of a three-day official and goodwill visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.
