CPP President Receives Courtesy Visit from Senior CPC Official


Phnom Penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), welcomed H.E. Yin Li, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, at the January 7 Palace this afternoon.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Yin Li’s visit to Cambodia aims to implement the consensus between the two countries’ leaders, enhance mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation at the sub-national level, and promote the building of a Cambodia-China community with a shared future in the new era. He commended Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his significant contributions to strengthening Cambodian-China relations, emphasizing that China regards him as a respected veteran politician and an old friend.



H.E. Yin Li reaffirmed China’s unwavering support for the CPP’s long-term governance and the government led by Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. He emphasized China’s opposition to any interference in Cambodia’s internal affairs and its support for Cambodia’s chosen development path that aligns with its own context and characteristics.



In response, the CPP president expressed that China is Cambodia’s greatest friend and most reliable partner. He reiterated Cambodia’s commitment to the “One China Policy” and thanked China for its continuous support and development assistance, which have significantly contributed to Cambodia’s national development and independence.



Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed confidence that China will continue to assist in training the CPP’s human resources, building the party, and facilitating important study exchanges. He highlighted the importance of the “Youth House for Cambodia-China Friendship” programme in training young Cambodian politicians and fostering youth exchanges between the two countries.
