Commerce Ministry Delegation Explores Thai Food Industry Operations


Chachoengsao: A Ministry of Commerce’s delegation led by its Secretary of State H.E. Tor Pila made a study visit to CPF Food and Beverage Co., Ltd. in Chachoengsao province, Thailand. The visit took place on March 25 and involved a comprehensive tour and discussions with key industry representatives.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the delegation included officials from the General Directorate of Trade Promotion, the Market Development Department, the Private Sector Development Department, and representatives from the General Directorate of Animal Health and Production of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. The primary aim was to observe and understand the company’s food and beverage processing plant and its processed food production chain.



During the visit, H.E. Secretary of State met with Mr. Narerk Mangkeo, General Manager of CPF Food and Beverage Co., Ltd., to gain insights into the production of marinated meat, ready-to-eat meals, and export packaging. The processed food products are distributed to international markets and sold in Thai supermarkets, including Big C, Makro, and 7-Eleven, as well as other food service partners.



In the afternoon, the delegation engaged in further discussions with Mr. Amporn Ampornputtisakul, Senior Director of the Cutting and Processing Plant for Pork at CPF (Thailand) Public Company Limited. They explored the swine processing plant’s market strategies, quality control, and meat safety measures.



During the study visit, the Cambodian delegation promoted local products such as cashew nuts and pepper, urging the companies to consider integrating these products into their production processes. In response, the companies showed interest in testing and potentially sourcing Cambodian cashew nuts and pepper for trial production in their supply chains.
