Cambodian exporting companies can get many benefits from Norwegian Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) such as duty free for all Cambodian products when they are imported to Norway.
‘Through the Norwegian GSP, Cambodian exporters are positioned to leverage and benefit from preferential access, whereby all products originating in Cambodia are duty free when imported into Norway,’ noted H.E. Mrs. CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, while she was presiding over the opening ceremony of the seminar of the Norwegian GSP, at the Sun and Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh this morning.
Export compliance with the Rules of Origin and other rules and conditions embedded in the GSP schemes is compulsory to maintain and secure the preferences, she underlined.
On the occasion, H.E. Minister expressed her appreciation to H.E. Ms. Astrid Emilie Helle, Ambassador of Norway to Cambodia, for her initiative and great support of this important seminar for growing businesses and investment opportunities in both countries.
H.E. Mrs. CHAM Nimul also stressed that both royal governments are keen on capitalising on their complementarities, thereby fostering bilateral trade expansion. As such, she encouraged all stakeholders to actively engage in discussions to obtain full advantage from the seminar
