China, UNICEF Collaborate to Boost Cambodia’s Education

Phnom Penh: The People’s Republic of China and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Cambodia have partnered to boost the education system in Cambodia. The partnership was unveiled by UNICEF Cambodia, emphasizing its focus on promoting equitable, inclusive, and quality education for every child.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the collaboration includes a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia visiting Mondulkiri province. During this visit, they engaged with students and teachers to assess how their support could advance the educational sector in line with the partnership’s objectives.

This initiative aims to assist children, particularly those impacted by COVID-19 school closures, in recovering and catching up on their learning losses. UNICEF Cambodia expressed their commitment by stating, ‘Together, we’re working toward brighter futures for vulnerable children in Cambodia.’
