China-Cambodia Tourism and Culture Promotion Conference Highlights Bilateral Growth


Zhengzhou: The China-Cambodia Tourism and Cultural Promotion Conference was held on February 25 in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, People’s Republic of China, aimed at bolstering the tourism potential between the two nations. The event witnessed the presence of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and H.E. Ms. Zhang Min, Deputy Governor of Henan Province, along with key figures in the tourism sector from both Cambodia and China.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the conference served as a platform to strengthen business networking opportunities among investors and tourism operators from the two countries, facilitating direct connections. The event also focused on enhancing and expanding relations and cooperation within the tourism sector, involving both public and private sectors of the participating nations.



The conference offered investors and tourism operators an opportunity to network, create investment opportunities, and establish business connections. H.E. Huot Hak and H.E. Ms. Zhang Min also visited a trade expo organized as part of the event, which showcased the tourism potential of Cambodia and China to the attendees.



Cambodia reported a 55 percent increase in Chinese tourists in 2024, as per a report from the Ministry of Tourism. A total of 848,952 Chinese visitors traveled to the Kingdom last year, marking a significant rise from 547,798 in the previous year, the report indicated.
