Phnom Penh: The Cambodia Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 47.77 µg/m3 from 6:00 pm on Jan. 29 to 6:00 am on Jan. 30, compared to the standard of 50 µg/m3, indicating that the air quality was good, according to the Ministry of Environment’s air quality monitoring.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, seven provinces, including Kampong Chhnang, Kampot, Kratie, Mondulkiri, Rattanakiri, Oddar Meanchey, and Thbong Khmum, received a rating of ‘Blue’, which signifies very good air quality.
At the same time, the source pointed out, the provinces of Kampong Cham, Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom, Kandal, Prey Veng, Stung Treng, Svay Rieng, Takeo and Pailin, along with Phnom Penh capital, experienced ‘good’ air quality.
For Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Koh Kong, Preah Vihear, Pursat, Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, and Kep provinces, the AQI was at a ‘moderate’ level with real-time air pollution PM2.5 ranging from 103 to 150 µg/m3, said the ministry.
