Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has extended best wishes to H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, on the joyous occasion of the Chinese Lunar New Year 2025.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister emphasized the strong and enduring cordial ties between Cambodia and China in his separate messages received this afternoon, highlighting the stronger political trust than ever before and thriving economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges. He noted the shared resolve of both nations in building a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard Cambodia-China community of shared future in the new era, aiming to further consolidate their iron-clad friendship.

In his message to H.E. Xi Jinping, he congratulated the Chinese government and people on their achievements in various fields, which have positioned China on a steady path toward its second centenary goals in 2049. He praised China’s transformation into the second-largest economic power and its growing leadership role in international affairs under Xi’s leadership.

Addressing Chinese Premier H.E. Li Qiang, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed sincere appreciation for China’s steadfast support and indispensable assistance to Cambodia’s socio-economic development. He conveyed his hopes for even greater achievements for the friendly people of China and wished them a prosperous New Year as the nations continue to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership.

This year, the Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, falls on January 29.
