Cambodian PM to Visit the Republic of Korea This Week

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation on an official visit to the Republic of Korea this week. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) said the visit will be from May 15 to 19, 2024 at the invitation of H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea. Samdech Thipadei and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet will be accompanied by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, other Ministers, key government officials, and representatives of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. According to the MFAIC's press release issued on May 13, during his stay, Samdech Thipadei will hold bilateral talks with H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol to discuss deepening partnerships and expanding multifaceted cooperation to elevate bilateral relations to new heigh ts. The two leaders will witness the signing of several documents covering areas such as economic development and infrastructure, it added. At the same time, the source pointed out, Samdech Thipadei will have separate meetings with H.E. Han Duck-soo, the Prime Minister, and H.E. Kim Jin-pyo, Speaker of the National Assembly.
