Cambodian PM Speaks Highly of Thai Ambassador’s Contribution to Enhancing Both Countries’ Relations

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has lauded the key role and active contribution of the outgoing Thai Ambassador to Cambodia, in strengthening and expanding the diplomatic relations between the two countries, which were upgraded to a strategic partnership during his official visit to Thailand in February 2024.

The Cambodian Premier made the praise while receiving a farewell visit from H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor, outgoing Thai Ambassador to Cambodia, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.

H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor highly appreciated Cambodia’s progress in many areas, including the maintaining of political stability and economic growth in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis.

The ambassador expressed his delight with the development of Cambodia-Thailand relations and cooperation, especially the upgrading of Thai-Cambodian relationship to the level of strategic partnership. He also thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its close support and coopera
tion during his diplomatic mandate.

Besides, Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor exchanged views on cooperation in a number of areas that benefit the two neighbouring nations, including trade, investment, tourism, education, infrastructure, connectivity, and security.
