Phnom Penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended his deepest condolences over the passing of H.E. Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, on April 14, 2025.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was a great leader of Malaysia and a close friend of Cambodia. The Cambodian Premier expressed in his message to his Malaysian counterpart Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim that Tun Abdullah’s leadership, which significantly contributed to Malaysia’s socio-economic development, will be remembered, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I would like to convey my deepest condolences and profound sympathies to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Malaysia, as well as family members of H.E. Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for this great loss. May his soul rest in peace,” concluded Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
