Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, held talks here this morning with visiting Deputy Minister of National Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army, H.E. Gen. Khamlieng Outhakaysone.
H.E. Gen. Khamlieng Outhakaysone informed the Cambodian Prime Minister that his visit aimed to strengthen and expand cooperation between the armies of the two countries.
He underlined the main discussion issues with Cambodia, including the fight against drug trafficking and transnational crime, joint natural disaster response, exchange of trainees and human resource training, and mutual support in regional and international frameworks.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet highly commented on the progress and closeness of the military relations between the two countries and supported further expansion of Cambodian-Lao military cooperation.
He also encouraged the armies of the two countries to maintain friendship, cooperation, and development in the border provinces for the mutual b
enefit of the two peoples and countries.
