Cambodian PM Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Territorial Defence

Preah Sihanouk: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet reaffirmed this morning that no land has been lost in the border demarcation process. While presiding over the inauguration ceremony of a new school building and related infrastructure at Hun Sen Veal Rinh High School, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasised that the Royal Government is fully committed to border demarcation and territorial protection.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Premier stated that the Royal Government follows a clear and strategic approach to safeguarding Cambodia’s territorial integrity, adhering to international laws and technical border principles rather than acting on impulse. He reiterated that military force is not an option.

‘Border issues cannot be resolved in a single day, nor can complaints or the deployment of military personnel provide a solution. Therefore, adherence to international laws and technical regulations must continue to ensure our national interests,’ he stated.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stressed that territorial protection is a long-term responsibility and called for greater support for border development to benefit the people.
