Phnom Penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent condolence messages to H.E. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand. In his separate messages to the two leaders on Mar. 29, the Cambodian Premier expressed profound sadness over the devastating earthquake that struck central Myanmar on the afternoon of Mar. 28, 2025, leading to tragic loss of lives, injuries, and widespread damage to property.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies on behalf of the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Burmese and Thai leaders, particularly to the bereaved families and all those affected by this unfortunate natural disaster. He emphasized that, ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and we hope for the swift recovery of those injured.’
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister reaffirmed that Cambodia stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Myanmar and Thailand during this challenging time. He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of H.E. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the two countries will overcome this calamity and emerge stronger.
