Cambodian PM: Institutional Reform Needs to be Conducted Regularly


The Prime Minister of Cambodia has stressed the need to regularly conduct the reform of ministries and institutions to promote the effectiveness of service provision to the public.

The Cambodian Premier, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, made the remarks while presiding over the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Civil Service held in Phnom Penh this afternoon.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet noted that the ministries and institutions have so far made regular reforms, adding that in this seventh mandate, the Royal Government will further sharpen it to meet the current context and social needs.

Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister laid stress on the importance of continued reform of institutions and governance to achieve a highly capable, intelligent and efficient public administration.

‘What we want is a strong public administration that is flexible and effective in performing its duties for the nation, both at the national and sub-national levels,’ he said, underlining that in order to have a strong and eff
ective public administration, it is necessary for all stakeholders to work together.
