Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, along with other ASEAN Heads of State/Government on Oct. 9 attended numerous meetings as part of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
The ASEAN Secretariat said that the Opening Ceremony of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits was held under the presidency of H.E. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of Lao PDR and ASEAN Chair for 2024, and attended by Cambodian Premier Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and his ASEAN counterparts, Leaders of ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners, ASEAN Foreign Ministers and other Invited Guests.
After the Opening Ceremony, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet took part in the 44th ASEAN Summit (Plenary Session) and the 45th ASEAN Summit (Retreat Session).
On the occasion, Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, reported on the progress of ASEAN Community-building in 2024 to the ASEAN Leaders and highlighted the key deliverables of Lao PDR’s ASEAN Chairmanship under the theme ‘Enhancing Connecti
vity and Resilience’.
Additionally, ASEAN Leaders will engage with representatives from AIPA, ASEAN-BAC, and ASEAN Youth.
