Cambodian PM: A Nation Cannot Develop and Progress Without Human Capital and Peace

Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has reiterated the indispensability of peace and human capital for a country’s development. Addressing the graduation ceremony of more than 4,400 students of Vanda Institute, held at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre here this morning, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said peace is the main catalyst, then human capital.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Premier emphasized that in the current Cambodian economy, some garment factories have integrated robots and humans in their operations, necessitating that human resources become more skilled and capable. He highlighted that qualified human resources are essential for development, citing Cambodia’s ability to produce various products, including cars.

The Prime Minister pointed out that with Cambodia’s economy and development reaching advanced stages, there is a growing need for highly skilled and capable human resources. He warned that without adequate human resources, Cambodia would struggle to compete on a global scale.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet further explained that attention must be paid to both the quantity and quality of human resources. This is why the Royal Government has facilitated educational opportunities for Cambodian citizens, from primary to higher education, to strengthen human resource capabilities.
