Five Cambodian national billiards players and sports delegates will attend the 2024 Joy Heyball International Open Thailand Stop to be held in Pattaya, Thailand, from Aug. 27 to Sept. 1.

The update was shared by the sport delegation head, Mr. Mara Socheat, who is the Secretary General of the Cambodia Billiards and Snookers Federation (CBSF).

Of the five, three are athletes, including Mr. Duong Bunthoeun, Mr. Men Sophanith, and Mr. Neang Sokmono.

The secretary general added that the Cambodian players will compete in the Heyball event, which is a new discipline that will also be included in the SEA Games, Asian Games, and other big sports events.

“The Cambodian players are training hard for the Heyball event, especially the snooker pool, and the tournament will be a good opportunity for the team to further develop their capacity for the SEA Games 2025 in Thailand,” he said.

Besides the 2024 Joy Heyball International Open Thailand Stop, the Cambodian team will also participate in the big international com
petitions in Vietnam in September and in Singapore later.
