Cambodian National Assembly Partners with Hanyang Cyber University for Educational Advancement


Seoul: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, led a high-level parliamentary delegation to visit Hanyang Cyber University in Seoul, South Korea this afternoon. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee, President of Hanyang Cyber University, along with the university’s management board, faculty members, and professors.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee introduced Hanyang Cyber University as a leader in online education, focusing on information technology and digital skills. The university has been ranked No. 1 in service quality among cyber universities in South Korea for 10 consecutive years. It is renowned for its innovative approach to education and its commitment to social responsibility, positioning itself as a model for fostering global change.



Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee expressed gratitude to Samdech Khuon Sudary for her visit, praising her as a remarkable female leader, admired within Cambodia and internationally for her knowledge, wisdom, and leadership. During the visit, Samdech Khuon Sudary thanked the President of the University for the warm welcome and commitment to cooperating in the promotion and development of human resources for the General Secretariat of the National Assembly of Cambodia.



Samdech Khuon Sudary highlighted the visit to Hanyang Cyber University as a key activity in the Cambodian delegation’s agenda during their participation in the Universal Peace Federation World Summit 2025. She noted that Cambodia shares similarities with the Republic of Korea, both focusing on human capital development post-war. She also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Cambodian Prime Ministers, including Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who prioritised ‘People, Water, Roads, and Electricity,’ with current leadership under Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet adding ‘Technology’ as a crucial priority.



On the occasion, the Cambodian National Assembly President witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hanyang Cyber University and the National Assembly General Secretariat. This MoU aims to strengthen capacity building and provide training on information technology skills for Members of Parliament and General Secretariat officials.
