Phnom Penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, has sent a condolence message to H.E. Wanmuhamadnoor Matha, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand. ‘I am deeply shocked to learn of the tremors felt in Bangkok following the powerful earthquake in neighbouring Myanmar on Mar. 28, 2025, which has claimed numerous lives, caused severe damage, and necessitated urgent evacuations,’ she wrote in her message AKP received this afternoon.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during this difficult time, on behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and in her personal capacity, Samdech Khuon Sudary extended her deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to H.E. Wanmuhamadnoor Matha and, through him, to the government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand.

‘My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and all those affected. I wish the survivors strength and resilience and hope for a swift recovery for your country from this tragic disaster,’ she concluded.
