Cambodian Information Minister Praises New Book on ‘Beyond Angkor’


Phnom Penh: Cambodia’s Minister of Information H.E. Minister Neth Pheaktra expressed his support and admiration for Mr. Ky Soklim, Co-Founder of the digital news outlet “Thmey Thmey,” and his team for their work in creating the “Beyond Angkor” book. The remark was made known during a courtesy meeting at the Ministry of Information’s office here this morning.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the book, as highlighted by H.E. Neth Pheaktra, showcases Cambodian culture, civilization, and the daily lives of people in and around the Angkor region. It aims to promote tourism through stories related to the iconic site.



H.E. Minister encouraged the team to continue their research and produce further works on Cambodian culture and civilization, particularly focusing on the living heritage of the Angkor region. He emphasized the importance of making this knowledge accessible to the public.



To demonstrate his support, H.E. Neth Pheaktra purchased 100 copies of “Beyond Angkor” to distribute among the Ministry of Information leadership.
