Phnom Penh: Cambodian Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation H.E. HEM Vanndy received here at the ministry on Nov. 18 a delegation from Nanning University of Digital Technology (NUDT).
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in Science, Technology, and Innovation, particularly in digital technology applications, research-driven industrial support, and initiatives to strengthen Cambodia’s business and industrial competitiveness.
During the meeting, H.E. Minister highlighted the significance of STI in Cambodia’s development as it prepares for the LDC graduation by 2029. “STI is an important pillar in the Diamond Cooperation between Cambodia and China. We look forward to leveraging this collaboration to advance our technological capacity and industrial competitiveness,” he said.
Professor Kevin Liu proposed collaborations on AI-driven research, cross-border e-commerce talent development, and the creation of online courses. “Cambodia’s ambition
s align perfectly with our expertise in AI and human-computer interaction,” he said.
H.E. HEM Vanndy welcomed these initiatives and urged the university to kickstart joint research projects, establish a mechanism for sharing insights on global industry-specific technology trends, and work closely with the Ministry to ensure progress on the ground.
