Phnom Penh: Ambassadors and Consuls General of Cambodia abroad have made their commitment to further promote potential tourism to the world during their mission abroad. The commitment was made in a meeting here on Mar. 9 between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and a delegation composed of 19 Cambodian ambassadors, Permanent Missions, and Consuls General.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting focused on cooperation in the tourism sector to enhance Cambodia’s reputation on the international stage and promote Cambodian tourism worldwide. The ambassadors and consuls discussed strategies to attract international tourists through public media by highlighting Cambodia’s tourism potential, which includes cultural and historical tourism, eco-tourism, coastal tourism, traditional culture, religion, gastronomy, Cambodian smiles, and Khmer identity.
The discussion aimed at showcasing the true identity of Cambodia in order to boost the country’s appeal as a tourist destination. The Cambodian representatives emphasized the importance of leveraging these unique aspects to draw more visitors and strengthen Cambodia’s position in the global tourism market.
