Cambodia: The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia is set to participate in the “ASEAN TOURISM FORUM 2025” in Johor, Malaysia, scheduled from January 19 to 25, 2025, under the theme “UNITY IN MOTION-Shaping ASEAN’s Tourism Tomorrow.” This major event will see Cambodia engaging in the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), an integral part of the forum.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Ministry of Tourism announced that the TRAVEX event will feature about 200 booths showcasing tourism products from tour operators, tourism agencies, travel and accommodation services, and other stakeholders from ASEAN member countries. The participation aims to bolster tourism growth in the region, promote tourism business opportunities, and highlight Cambodia’s rich tourism potential to international markets, particularly within ASEAN.
The event will also serve as a crucial platform to establish new business relationships and foster cooperation in the tourism sector. It aims to strengthen tourism partnerships among ASEAN member
states through a network of travel agencies and ASEAN tourism collaborations.
The Ministry of Tourism has urged tour operators, private sectors, media, national and international tourists, the general public, and relevant institutions to promote and participate in TRAVEX. The goal is to attract more regional and international tourists to experience “Cambodia – Kingdom of Wonder, Feel the Warmth, Safe, Clean and Green.”
