Cambodia has been elected to be the host of the 39th World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Conference (39th WAGGGS Conference) in 2026.
The election took place during the 38th WAGGGS Conference held from July 26 to 31, 2023 in the Republic of Cyprus, said the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia (GGAC) in an announcement released tonight.
On his social media networks, H.E. Dr. Hun Manet, incoming Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, commended the GGAC team for their hard work in achieving this brilliant result for the nation.
He also thanked his compatriots for their online support for Cambodia’s candidacy for the 39th WAGGGS Conference host.
A delegation of GGAC attending the 38th WAGGGS Conference was led by H.E. Ms. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, General Commissioner of GGAC.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Conference has members from 169 countries around world.
