The Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (ARDB) has successfully hosted the 47th annual meetings of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP).
The event, held from May 15 to 17 in Phnom Penh, attracted delegates from approximately 40 ADFIAP’s member countries across the region.
The meeting focused on the theme “DFIs Role in Sustainable Finance Ecosystem: Cultivating a Climate-Smart and Sustainable Future.”
Discussions centered on the crucial role of Development Financing Institutions (DFIs) in promoting sustainable economic growth and environmental responsibility. Delegates discussed strategies for financing climate-resilient infrastructure, promoting green technology adoption, and fostering financial inclusion for a sustainable future.
The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among regional financial institutions.

“The event has strengthened Cambodia’s diplomatic ties with other member states and allowed us to learn from leading DFIs,” he said.
The Cambodia-hosted ADFIAP meetings are seen as a significant milestone, showcasing the country’s growing role in regional financial development and its commitment to sustainable economic practices.
