Cambodia, Shanghai Discuss Possibility to Promote Tourism, Trade and Investment Sectors


Cambodia and China’s Shanghai have discussed the possibility to cooperate in promoting their tourism sector as well as their trade affair and private investment.

The Cambodian side was headed by H.E. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, while the Chinese side was led by Mr. Zhou Minhao, Chairman of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai (CPIT Shanghai).

During the discussion held at the CDC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh on Sept. 3, H.E. SUN Chanthol expressed warm welcome to the visit of CPIT Shanghai delegation in Cambodia, and briefed them about Cambodia’s priority sectors such as electronic components, automotive, agriculture and agro-industry, to name a few, with the CDC’s close facilitation for all investments in Cambodia.

Mr. Zhou Minhao also revealed his intention to help promote the CDC’s new digital technology system for investment project management and to collaborate with the CDC in organising workshop
s, business forums, and Cambodia-Shanghai private sector matching in Shanghai to support both sides’ mutual investments.
