The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia this evening issued a statement reaffirming Cambodia's firm stance to the One-China policy. "Cambodia's position on Taiwan is consistent. Cambodia resolutely adheres to the One-China policy, recognising that the Government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legitimate government representing the entirety of China and that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory,' the statement underlined. 'In this respect, Cambodia opposes any attempt to use the Taiwan issue to interfere in China's internal affairs, opposes any form of Taiwan independence, firmly supports all efforts by the Government of the People's Republic of China to achieve national reunification, and will not develop any form of official relations with Taiwan," said the Spokesperson.
