Phnom Penh: Cambodia has proposed cooperation promotion on exchanges of intelligence information with China to curb potential provocation by extremists and prevent color revolution and crimes. The request was made by H.E. General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), during a meeting with Special Colonel Sheng Dazhi, the new Head of the Military Attach© Office of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army to Cambodia, in Phnom Penh on Jan. 15.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. General Vong Pisen also asked the Chinese side to continue supporting Cambodian human resource training and the exchange of visits at all levels. The RCAF commander-in-chief congratulated Special Colonel Sheng Dazhi on his new role in Cambodia, hoping that he would use his experiences to further strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Special Colonel Sheng Dazhi highly valued the long-lasting relations between Cambodia and China in maintaining national security and peace for mutual benefit. On the same day, Special Colonel Sheng Dazhi also paid separate courtesy calls on H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence of Cambodia, and many other Cambodian senior military officers.
