Cambodia Joins Francophone Parliamentary Forum in Vietnam


Can Tho City: A senior Cambodian delegation attended the Francophone Parliamentary Forum on sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate change response, held in Can Tho City, Vietnam, on January 21-22. The event was marked by discussions on pivotal issues affecting the Francophone community, with a focus on sharing knowledge and strategies among member countries.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Cambodian delegation was led by H.E. Ang Vong Vathana, Chairman of the Commission on Legislation and Justice of the National Assembly and Vice-Chair of the Cambodian Parliamentary Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF). On the first day, H.E. Ang Vong Vathana served as a speaker, addressing the forum’s main discussion topic on food security. He shared insights and lessons learned from Cambodia, contributing to the broader dialogue on sustainable agriculture and food security.



The forum highlighted Francophonie cooperation in sustainable agriculture, tackling food security challenges, and sharing experiences on climate change response. It convened around 100 participants from 17 countries, emphasizing collaboration and knowledge exchange to address these pressing global issues.
