Cambodia, Japan to Sign Exchange of Notes on Japanese Grant Aid of Nearly US$3 Million


Phnom Penh: Japan will provide a grant aid of JPY 404,000,000 (approximately US$2.9 million) for the implementation of the Economic and Social Development Programme in Cambodia, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this evening.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Exchange of Notes and related documents on the grant aid extension will be signed here on February 27, 2025. The signing will be conducted between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia.



The grant assistance aims to enhance the training and research capacity of the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport, testifying to Japan’s unwavering commitment to supporting Cambodia’s socio-economic development, underlined the press release.
