SIEM REAP: International tourists visiting Cambodia can now purchase entry tickets for the iconic Angkor Temple complex through self-service machines, a move expected to simplify the ticket-buying process.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the automated ticketing machines for Angkor Temple visits became operational on December 12. Located on the basement level 1 of The Heritage Walk, these machines are available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. This initiative aims to enhance convenience for international visitors eager to explore the Angkor Wat Temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992 and Cambodia’s most popular tourist destination.

In the first eleven months of this year, the Angkor Archaeological Park attracted 898,339 foreign tourists, generating nearly $42 million from ticket sales. The park offers various ticket options: a one-day visit costs $37, a three-day pass is priced at $62, and a week-long visit is available for $72.
