Phnom Penh: Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, H.E. Dith Tina, presided over the opening ceremony of the Cambodia Agriculture Forum and Exhibition 2025 (CAFE 2025), along with a dialogue session involving stakeholders in the agricultural value chain. The event was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Phnom Penh this morning.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Minister Dith Tina welcomed leaders from government ministries, institutions, the private sector, development partners, and both national and international guests. The forum seeks to facilitate discussions to understand the strengths and weaknesses of Cambodia’s agricultural sector and to develop plans connecting agro-industry and commerce. The goal is to foster economic development and increase investment at regional and global levels.
In his remarks, H.E. Minister emphasized the agricultural sector’s policy focus on ensuring food security, achieving profitability for farmers, improving livelihoods, and promoting sustainable use of Cambodia’s resources. This aligns with the vision of “enough to eat, enough to earn, enough to use, and sustainability.” He expressed high expectations for the active participation of stakeholders, believing it will contribute to the growth of all sub-sectors within the agricultural economy.
H.E. Dith Tina also conveyed appreciation to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) and other development partners, organisations, and friendly governments. He acknowledged their contributions in bringing the forum and exhibition to fruition and preparing for future programmes aimed at boosting investment and developing agricultural businesses.
