Cambodia, Bangladesh Laud Bilateral Military Collaboration

Cambodia and Bangladesh have mutually appreciated the progress in their military cooperation and vowed to further foster it.

The appreciation was underscored during a recent courtesy meeting between Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen and visiting Brigadier General Md. Aftab Hussein, the Bangladesh Military Attaché to Cambodia.

H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen highly valued the relations between Cambodia and Bangladesh dating back to 1973 and continue to flourish.

Bangladesh had sent military personnel to attend demining training in Cambodia, and Cambodian trainees are also attending capacity-building programmes at the command headquarters in Bangladesh.

According to H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen, the two countries are also preparing a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on national defence cooperation.

Brigadier General Md. Aftab Hussein shared the same appreciation, highlighting that much more will be done to foster Cambodian and Bangladeshi military cooperation.
