Cambodia and Thailand Strengthen Media Cooperation at 12th JTCM Meeting


Phnom Penh: Cambodia and Thailand have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing media collaboration during the 12th Joint Technical Committee on Media (JTCM) meeting. This meeting, held in Phnom Penh, saw representatives from both nations engaging in discussions aimed at bolstering media ties and exploring new areas of cooperation.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting focused on various initiatives designed to promote information exchange and joint media projects. Both countries emphasized the importance of strengthening media relations to foster mutual understanding and support regional development. The discussions also highlighted the role of media in bridging cultural and social ties between the two neighboring nations.



The JTCM meeting is part of ongoing efforts by Cambodia and Thailand to enhance bilateral relations in the field of media. These efforts are expected to lead to more collaborative projects and exchanges, further solidifying the partnership between the two countries in the media sector.



A delegation from Cambodia’s Ministry of Information, led by Undersecretary of State and Cabinet Chief H.E. Prak Thaveak Amida joined Thai officials in Bangkok today for the 12th Thailand-Cambodia Joint Technical Committee Meeting (JTCM).`Co-chaired by H.E. Prak Thaveak Amida and H.E. Mrs. Sudruetai Lertkasem, Director General of Thailand’s Government Public Relations Department (PRD), the meeting focused on reviewing progress in media collaboration and discussing a new draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two nations’ media entities.`Earlier in the day, the Cambodian delegation toured PRD’s media museum and archives, gaining insight into Thailand’s media preservation efforts.`The JTCM serves as a platform for both countries to enhance media cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties in the information sector.`
