Phnom Penh: The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have expressed satisfaction with their strong bilateral relationship, emphasizing the consultative mechanism between their foreign ministries that has significantly advanced their cooperation. This sentiment was shared during a meeting between Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and H.E. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Netherlands, at the Peace Palace.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Ambassador van Wijngaarden committed to enhancing and expanding the cooperation between the two nations. Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for its contributions to Cambodia’s development and encouraged the ambassador, who is based in Bangkok, to collaborate closely with Cambodian ministries and institutions to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The Cambodian Prime Minister highlighted the country’s favorable policies and incentives designed to attract foreign investment, en
suring a competitive investment environment. Ambassador van Wijngaarden noted that Dutch companies operating in Cambodia have observed improvements in the investment climate and assured continued support from the Dutch government for these enterprises.
The meeting also covered discussions on trade and investment cooperation, as well as an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest between Cambodia and the Netherlands.
