Phnom Penh: The Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) have entered into one agreement and two memorandums of understanding aimed at fostering cooperation across various sectors.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the signing ceremony was held at the Peace Palace in the presence of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and the visiting Lao Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone. The agreement includes measures for the elimination of double taxation concerning income taxes and strategies to prevent fiscal evasion and avoidance.
The memorandums of understanding focus on agricultural and cultural cooperation. The first memorandum involves a collaboration between the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to enhance agricultural cooperation. The second memorandum outlines cooperation in cultural and artistic sectors for the years 2025-2027.
