Phnom Penh: H.E. Ms. EAT Sophea, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Advisor to Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, welcomed H.E. Mrs. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, at the ministry for a courtesy call.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Ms. EAT Sophea expressed her welcome and appreciation to H.E. Ms. ERI Arfiya for participating in the Siem Reap-Angkor Summit on a Mine-Free World held in Siem Reap province.
H.E. Ms. ERI Arfiya, in response, expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to her and the Japanese delegation, highlighting the opportunity to meet Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister.
The discussions between H.E. Ms. EAT Sophea and H.E. Ms. ERI Arfiya focused on enhancing the Cambodia-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with an emphasis on three key areas: social infrastructure development, maritime connectivity, and mi
ne action.
They also addressed other significant sectors, including politics, economic collaboration, democracy promotion, human rights, and regional and international developments of mutual interest.
