Cambodia and India Pledge to Enhance Water Resources Development Cooperation


Phnom Penh: Cambodia and India have pledged to foster bilateral cooperation in water resources development in Cambodia. The joint commitment was highlighted in a meeting between H.E. Thor Chetha, Cambodian Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, and H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom, at the ministry on Monday.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Thor Chetha expressed gratitude to the Government of India for its support in the development of Cambodia’s water resources. The minister reaffirmed a strong commitment to continue strengthening and expanding cooperation and requested the Indian side to expedite preparations for the implementation of new water resources development projects.



The Indian ambassador acknowledged the productive cooperation between the two countries and expressed enthusiasm for supporting the sector with upcoming projects.
