Cambodia and China Sign Agreement to Enhance Broadcasting Ties.


Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the National Radio and Television Administration of the People’s Republic of China (NRTA) have reached a consensus to further fortify and expand their collaboration in the fields of radio and television. This development was marked by the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Fields of Radio and Television in Phnom Penh, subsequent to the 6th Meeting on Cambodia-China Broadcasting Cooperation.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the agreement was signed by H.E. Neth Pheaktra, Cambodian Minister of Information, and H.E. Yang Guorui, Vice Minister of NRTA. The five-page document outlines the establishment of a regular inter-ministerial cooperation mechanism designed to facilitate the exchange and joint drafting of plans focused on key sectors and projects within the broadcasting domain of both nations.

The agreement emphasizes the importance of exchanging visits, experiences, and content, as well as enhancing field reporting and
providing training opportunities. During the meeting, both the Cambodian Ministry of Information and NRTA commended the achievements of their existing cooperation, deliberated on future plans, and reiterated their dedication to furthering their collaborative efforts in radio and television.
