Cambodia and China Celebrate Strengthened Security Ties


Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and visiting H.E. Liu Zhongyi, China’s Assistant Minister of Public Security, have lauded and highlighted many results in Cambodia-China cooperation, especially in the security sector. Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the security cooperation between the two countries during their meeting here at the Peace Palace this morning.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Liu Zhongyi praised the 7th-mandate Royal Government of Cambodia for putting forward many new strategies, policies, and initiatives with a long-term vision for the country’s governance. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Cambodia will continue to achieve more development in all fields. The Chinese side is eager to continue strengthening cooperation with Cambodia, as emphasized by H.E. Liu Zhongyi.



For his part, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring security and safety for the citizens. The Cambodian Premier also encouraged the ministries and relevant institutions of the two countries to continue closer cooperation, particularly in areas of capacity building and information exchange.
