Brunei’s Khazanah Seeks New Investment Ventures in Cambodia.


Phnom Penh: Khazanah, a company from Brunei, is exploring its investment opportunities in Cambodia as its CEO Mr. Dato Khairul Hamed has been on a visit in the Kingdom. This morning, Mr. Dato Khairul Hamed, former Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force, paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting held at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, Mr. Dato Khairul Hamed informed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet that his visit to Cambodia this time aimed at exploring new investment opportunities in many sectors, including health, water resources, transport, especially railways, airports, and banking.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister welcomed the company’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia. He highlighted the policies, mechanisms, and necessary measures of the Royal Government to support the success of investors in Cambodia as well as connect Cambodia’s market to the region and the world.

The Premier also encouraged the CEO to continue discussions with relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia to study in detail the company’s investment projects in Cambodia.
