A group of teenagers from 2 sub-districts shot each other in the middle of the night on a village road, injuring more than 10 people. The police have now arrested them along with evidence.
At 02.30 this morning, there was a fight between groups of teenagers from 2 sub-districts, aged 15-18. The incident occurred when a group of teenagers from Nong Son sub-district, Sam Ngao district, threw ping-pong bombs at a group of teenagers from Nong Khao village, Wachirabarami district, while they were sitting together in the village. The teenagers from Nong Khao chased the perpetrators until they reached the Bueng Thao-Ban Nong Khao road, which is the intersection between the two villages. They grabbed their guns and shot at each other, injuring 10 people. Two were taken to Wachirabarami Hospital and 8 to Sam Ngao Hospital.
From the investigation, the boy Oh (pseudonym), a teenager from Nong Khao village, one of the people at the scene, said that the two groups had been fighting for many years and liked to provoke e
ach other all the time. Last night, the teenagers from Nong Son sub-district were the ones who started the fight first, even though he and his friends were eating. When riding along the rival side, he found a gathering of teenagers from many sub-districts who often had fights, almost 50 people, waiting to hurt and shoot at his group that was riding behind. His group therefore shot back.
The investigation team of Phichit City Police Station revealed that from the initial investigation, it is estimated that there were 8 teenagers involved in the incident. So far, 7 have been arrested and evidence has been seized, which is a short-barreled shotgun. As for the remaining accomplice, the relatives will bring him to surrender to the police.
