The APSARA National Authority has entered into a collaboration with Immersive Angkor to establish “Immersive Angkor Museum,” aimed at enhancing tourism experiences in Siem Reap.

The APSARA National Authority represented by its Director General H.E. Dr. Hang Peou and Immersive Angkor represented by its CEO Mr. Soreasmey KE BIN signed a MoU on the collaboration in Siem Reap province this week.

Addressing the function, H.E. Dr. Hang Peou highlighted that this partnership aligns with the APSARA National Authority’s mission to preserve and promote the Angkor Archaeological Park. He noted that collaborating with Immersive Angkor will enhance visitor experiences and support digital preservation efforts, reinforcing Angkor’s status as a global cultural icon.

The APSARA National Authority will provide scientific guidance to ensure historical accuracy and cultural sensitivity, while Immersive Angkor will take charge of developing and managing the museum, he underlined.

For his part, Mr. Soreasmey KE BIN, CEO of Im
mersive Angkor, remarked that this collaboration is crucial for sharing Angkor’s rich history through innovative technology. The museum aims to offer visitors a journey through time, deepening their understanding of Cambodia’s cultural heritage while safeguarding its legacy.

According to the APSARA National Authority, beyond the museum experience, the project includes extensive scans of the temples, marking a significant step toward creating a digital library of Angkor’s historical sites. This digital preservation initiative will help ensure that the temples’ legacy is maintained for future generations.
