Some Korean Companies Interested in Human Resource Training and EVs in Cambodia

Some Korean companies have expressed their interest to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia in human resource training in the fields of technology and techniques and electric vehicles (EVs) in Cambodia.

The interest was raised during a working lunch reception hosted by H.E. Kim Jin-pyo, former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, with the participation of Mr. Charles Lee, Board Chairman of Korea Polytechnics University and Mr. Park Joo-bong, Director General of Camko Motor and Camko Infracore.

On the occasion, the former National Assembly speaker said the two key Korean investors intended to contribute to further strengthening and expanding Cambodia’s economy and human resource training, especially in the areas of modern technology and the creation of an EV assembly plant in Cambodia in the near future for local market and for export as EVs are gaining popularity around the world.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the above-said intentions and hoped that the compan
ies will work closely with the Royal Government on these investment plans.

The former Cambodian Premier asked the Korean side to take part in the Royal Government’s ongoing plan to provide training for 1.5 million Cambodian youth from poor households.
